• Carry out Sampling, inspection & testing of Raw Material & Finished product in accordance with standard procedures to ensure that products are of the required quality.
• Ensure proper Calibration of equipment.
• Following Hold & Release procedures & completing corrective & preventive actions to prevent production of defective product.
• Monitor & report on Weak Link results.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards, walkways clear, benches clutter free, benches & walls clean, minimal Silver nitrate staining.
• Maintain all required documentation (test records- reports) about all checks carried out & results in both chemical and micro labs.
• Identify & report on any quality issues & potential improvement to product, process & environment.
• Maintain an awareness of all developments in products & in test procedures.
• Ensure that all policies, procedures & rules are followed by technicians.
• Stock control of chemicals, media and glassware.
• Completing & updating all Lab reports.
• Proper labeling & storage of reagents.
• Carry out Waste water analysis.
• Bring any problems to the attention of Manager.
• Provide advice on quality issues to Managers & staff.
• Monitor & advise on all sanitation & hygiene procedures to ensure compliance to company standards & local authority standards
