DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides generalist operational HR support, by providing first level advice and hands on support where required, on key people management/HR processes for the specific divisions of a business segment including Performance Management, Issues Management, Disciplinarians, Grievances, Long term sickness cases, Succession Planning etc.
• Responsible for managing all HR activities to include the full range of current and anticipated operational support. In line with the Annual Performance Calendar, ensuring that all activities take place in accordance with timescales and best practice.
• Responsible for managing the recruitment process from attraction to response management and selection as directed by the HR Manager.
• Assists in the formulation and effective delivery of the People Plan in order to meet the business objectives of the client function. Understands the HR needs of each division supported and partners and aligns with line managers to identify their HR service requirements.
• Work with Employee Services, Benefits, Payroll and other centralized work teams to process and administer client requests on a daily basis. Troubleshoots and resolves employee discrepancies with payroll, leave, job titles, etc.
• Interprets and administers HR policies and programs. Manages requests such as: job status/location/manager changes, promotions, terminations and severance agreements.
• Facilitates team engagement sessions where appropriate and supports managers through the Employee Engagement Survey process, analyzing results and identifying and implementing solutions.
• To maintain and develop HR policies and make sure that they are complied with -such as SOPs,
dress code, punctuality etc.
• Coordinating with staff to ensure appropriate communication-
between staff and with the management
• Maintaining correct and up to date record of each employee in their respective files
• Conducting interviews as and making sure of timely recruitments of staff as and when required
