CORE PURPOSE:
Assists the workshop manager in developing and monitoring the schedule of work. Initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure workshop operations are conducted within the agreed time frame & financial parameters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish and continuously review the workshop’s structure, work flows and job responsibilities in the workshop to ensure work is organized and carried out in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, parts requirements, back orders with Procurement department to ensure the right parts are available and there is no delay or loss of labor hours due to lack of co-ordination.
• Support service staff to ensure maintenance of tools is done on a timely basis to ensure costs of business is kept to minimum without compromising on safety.
• Supervise the work of mechanics to ensure that the set workshop processes are followed so that the work flow, quality standards and customer satisfaction index is maintained.
