POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for operation, Preventive Maintenance (PM), and repair of the wastewater treatment system
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Operates to the best possible standards providing an uninterrupted water supply..
- Monitors Reverse Osmosis (RO) units and ancillary equipment parameters.
- Makes adjustments to Water Plant equipment, ensuring operation guidelines are followed.
- Starts, operates, and secures RO units and all associated auxiliary equipment essential to Water Plant operation.
- Monitors Water Plant chemistry making chemical adjustments as necessary.
- Maintains cleanliness of Water Plant.
- Responds to Water Plant casualties with appropriate immediate and subsequent actions.
- Ensures efficient and economical operation of station water production equipment.
- Maintains logs as required.
- Advises the Power Plant Supervisor of the status of water production equipment and systems.
- Works a rotating shift.
- Implements and maintains a safe workplace program, ensuring safety is the highest priority.
- Communicates professional, both orally and in writing.
- Interacts professionally with military, and other agency officials.
- Performs other duties as required.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Industrial environment.
