•Develop IP management and commercialization strategy to protect, leverage, and commercialize IP
•Educate and inform researchers on legal andpatent issues related to protecting their intellectual property, and technology and knowledge transfer
•Conduct research and create a database of published patent worldwide to facilitate the review of relevant third party patents and the assessment of new projects/innovations
•Meet periodically with researchers to discuss their research and assess its commercial potential from a business and intellectual property perspective
•Estimate the potential market size for new technologies by gathering and analysing financial and market data to support commercialization of projects
•Evaluate and select in-house projects with potential for IP publication and commercialization
•Prepare IP documentation for publishing as required
• Identify new partners and collaborators within the industry
•Develop commercialization agreements with industrial partners
•Develop business cases for the commercialization of IP and for attracting investors
•Negotiate and prepare intellectual property agreements including technology licenses and commercialization agreements between the company and external organizations
•Assess and recommend business proposals based on strategic benefits and financial rewards
•Coordinate with Legal entity to protect IPs
