In a team of Academic Programme Managers (ACPM), support the delivery of EPG’s strategic educational plan by focusing on “STUDENTS, PARENTS, TEACHERS”. Ensure smooth and consistent educational delivery by standardizing policies, curricula, teacher assessment, reports, events and leading teacher development.
Curriculum
- Ensure section-wide quality assurance of: a) curriculum delivery; b) teaching and learning; and c) ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects.
- Deliver safe, dynamic and best-practice environment for both staff and students in section.
- Engage and support parents in guiding their child’s development at home. Ensure timely and effective delivery of student progress reports;
Line Management

Responsible for the performance management of teachers in their section as laid out in EPG’s performance management system including objective setting, evaluating performance, identifying development needs, providing feedback and support. Using stakeholder feedback (BCs, ADSM etc to provide holistic evaluation of teachers performance. Supporting the fair application of EPG’s reward system through accurate and evidence based performance ratings.
- Support dissemination of senior management communications, policy updates and changes to EY staff. Ensure that policy and process changes are understood and implemented in the time frame required consistently across the section.
- Ensure all academic policies and processes and policies are followed consistently as laid out by central EY in the running of teaching assessment branch consistency and improvement, correspondence, central management reporting requirements (branch KPIs).
Learning and Development
- Responsible for identifying teacher development needs and supporting the development and implementation of the EY academic development team.
Play a leading role in delivering teacher induction, and providing support to new teachers.
Support EPG CPD through delivery of training and workshops for EPG EY staff as part of the EY academic development plan under the direction of the EY Principal.
Responsible for supporting teachers in achieving personal learning objectives and meeting development needs through performance management system, one to one feedback, coaching and mentoring as required.
Recruitment
- Play a supporting role in the recruitment of branch Academic staff including sifting CVs, conducting interviews and providing feedback to applicants.
