Mechanical Engineer with experience in Piping / rotating equipment and experience in sales in the oil and gas industry
Typical work activities will involve (but are not limited to) the following:.
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
• Convince clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and technical experts.
• Assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective.
• Analyze costs and sales
• Provide Rotating equipment /piping expertise to the Project from Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning phases.
• Safeguard Company technical & contractual interests with respect to all Rotating/ Piping Engineering and Procurement activities.
• Assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer for liaison with Functional support teams within on Rotating/ Piping technical issues. If required engage the Function for technical and/or Corporate advise.
• Working with the Detailed Design & Procurement Contractor to ensure that Project, Company, and Group engineering standards are intelligently applied and adhered to by reviewing the technical specification and other engineering documents and drawings prepared by Detailed Design & Procurement Contractor.
• Participate in all key design, operability and maintainability reviews and ensure timely close out of all review action items related to mechanical engineering.
• Review and approve technical specification during Detailed Design & Procurement contract. Ensure that the Engineering and Operations & Maintenance aspects of the Project requirements are reflected in the Detailed Design & Procurement Contract enquiry specification.
• Perform periodic/frequent short visits to project construction sites during the design, construction and commissioning phases to provide support.
