To provide first line support to the schools through on site visits and remote access.To provide direct technical support to the group of schools which includes:
• First line hardware and software fault resolution for the whole school network, which involves determining the best solutions for technical problems, implementing them within set timescales and taking ownership of faults through to resolution
• Developing effective working relationships with key contacts in each school ensuring good communication at all times
• Managing file servers in an active directory environment
• Experience in handling firewall devices
• Responding to needs identified by the school, which require technical resolution
• Proactively carrying out routine maintenance and updates to ensure the school is functioning effectively to support teaching, learning, management and administration in each school
• Installing and supporting a range of school-specific and common software applications
• Developing specialist knowledge of the schools’ systems to provide effective support and advice
• To use and assist others in the use of information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.
• To achieve agreed service outcomes and outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed by the line manager
