To lead and manage all Clients’ centralized transactional banking back-office operations (i.e., Central Operations, SWIFT Communication, CSC and Retail Operations) in order to ensure
smooth and error-free processing and guarantee high efficiency for the respective areas of operations.
Strategic Contribution
Effectively develop the overall transactional Operations strategy by providing the vision and plans in line with the overall business objectives.
Ensure that the overall
Operations strategy is translated into transactional Operations plans / targets and monitor performance during the course of the year.
Organization Structure
Recommend an optimum organization structure in coordination with Organizational Effectiveness and
Strategic Manpower Planning for the function so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient
manner.
People Management
Manage the effective achievement of objectives through setting individual objectives, managing
performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and the overall performance.

Drives creation of staffing plans, quality initiatives and process change initiatives to
successfully meet and exceed the business plans
Budgets and plans
Develop and align the transactional Operations budget with the operational support required by the various business lines in the bank (embedded in SLA’s) and in line with corporate planning and budgeting guidelines, monitor actual expenditure against the approved budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenue and corrective actions are taken.
Operational Efficiency
· Oversee all transactional processing activities, and ensure smooth, error-free and fast
processing.
· Ensure that the processing activities are conducted according to policies, procedures and
SLAs.
· Constantly monitor the number of defect/breaches to SLAs in order to identify and propose actions for their timely solution.
· Monitor the progression
of related projects to ensure implementation within the agreed timelines and
quality
· Ensure that best practices are shared and implemented across all the departments
· Conduct random
checks/audits across the transactional Operations function and ensure that adequate controls are in place through a consistent and streamlined
maker-checker structure, in order to achieve error-free processing and high turnaround delivery of service.
· Continuously work towards improving processing cycle time and service levels for all types of activities by identifying and recommending changes to prevailing processes.
· Perform regular and ad-hoc analysis of the prevailing operations control environment and submit to Operations’ management for review.
· Ensure smooth coordination and relationship building with other relevant parties/functions in order to maximize on efficiency.
· Ensure proper archiving of all documents as per the policies and guidelines for sustainable operational efficiency.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Contribute to the preparation/review of policies and procedures for transactional Operations to
ensure adequate operations control.
Develop and negotiate (with relevant parties) and implement SLAs.
Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental
attitude.
