Position Overview:
The Structural Engineer will provide, on a daily basis, a broad-based understanding of engineering disciplines in a defense environment. Perform operational planning which includes facility design, hardware design and development.
Responsibilities:
- Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
- Analyzes results and proposed product changes to determine feasibility or improvement of component and systems.
- Confers with Product Engineers to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs.
- Correlates experimental data to simulation data.
- Analyzes results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Confers with engineering personnel to prepare design modifications as required to satisfy performance requirements.
- Uses computer software and equipment to perform engineering analysis tasks.
- Has the ability to perform linear, non-linear and dynamic simulations.
