Our company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team in Kuwait. The Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring that they stay within budget and align with the company's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis and financial management, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial objectives
- Analyze project costs and variances, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare accurate cost forecasts and reports, providing insights and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to track project progress and financial performance
- Review and approve project invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential cost overruns and discrepancies
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost control best practices and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgeting processes
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control or financial management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- Proficient in financial analysis software and MS Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred
