Network Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network resources. Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Ensure network compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain server systems, including hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Monitor server performance and reliability, perform regular backups, and implement disaster recovery procedures. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Stay updated with server technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements as needed.
Telephony Administration: Designs, administers, and analyzes IP telephony systems, contact center systems, corporate dial plans and traffic routes for voice network structure, in order to optimize the organization's effectiveness and to provide quality telecommunication service. Analyzes and provides Call Detail Records (CDR) call logs depending on department requirements. Provides technical assistance to telephone systems personnel and personnel of various departments regarding telecommunications components.
System and Application Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and server-related issues. Collaborate with end-users and IT teams to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner. Install and upgrade software applications on servers and ensure compatibility and proper integration with existing systems. Conduct system and application performance testing and optimization.
Security and Data Protection: Implement and maintain DRP as well as robust security measures to safeguard network infrastructure and server systems against unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Develop and enforce data backup, retention, and recovery strategies. Stay informed about emerging security threats and recommend countermeasures.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain accurate documentation of network and server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Generate reports on network and server performance, capacity, and security. Provide clear and concise communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding network and server-related matters.
Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network and server-related projects. Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and infrastructure expansion initiatives. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure necessary equipment and services. Adhere to project timelines and deliverables.
