We at Alshaya are currently looking for a Site Quality Coordinator - Quality Control for our Central Production Facility located in Dajeej - Kuwait
Job Roles & Major responsibilities:
1. You will be responsible for Daily Quality Control Tasks and assigned duties to ensure the food safety compliance system in the production facility
2. Reporting & escalation of food safety and quality issues with regards to raw materials, work in process & finished products
3. Should be able to control and manage the finished products which are made to Alshaya standards and brand specifications
4. Monitoring of CCPs, PRPs, and GMP/Hygiene standards through internal audits and inspections
5. Performing Verification of internal calibration for equipment on scheduled frequencies & validation of CCPs, refresher training to staff on procedures and work instructions
4. Coordinate with concerned departments and help in customer complaint investigation and internal Non-Conformance issues and escalation of the same to higher management
5. Support the Operations by the creation of Work Instructions/SOPs & Quality alerts; Education & training of staff using Toolbox talks (TBT) / Involvement with NPD in product development trials and training
6. Should be able to create Quality management reports for complaint trends, trials, validation studies, and product complaint investigations
7. Management of lab testing, creating microbiological & organoleptic schedules and chain of custody, and analysis of product testing reports
8. In the absence of the Quality Supervisor, assume full responsibility for the QC activities and perform with minimal supervision.
9. Generate suggestions for continuous improvements, Actively Participate in continuous improvement initiatives/projects within the department
Technical Skills Required:
1 Versatile in MS office tools likes, MS word, excel, PowerPoint and access
2 Able to create management reports using quality management tools if necessary
3 Numerical ability, analytical skills, and critical thinking
Knowledge and Experience Required:
1 Should have a good understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
2 Background in Food Science & Technology graduation / Food microbiology / related discipline with at least 2+ years of food manufacturing experience
3 Knowledge of Quality Assurance, HACCP, ISO, and related quality systems
4 Preferably Quality system certification in HACCP, basic food safety & hygiene courses
5 Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems
Attitude & Behavioral Qualities:
1 Understand the work timings & shift patterns to work flexibly
2 Able to handle stress and work under pressure by managing timely tasks based on priority
3 Be active, confident, genuine, and professional in work & communication
4 Good teamwork relations with co-workers and managers
5 Keep and maintain positivity & respect in all aspects of work
