Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Support for testing, evaluation, and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various structures and underground piping
• Complete specific objectives with instruction from senior staff on various plant drawings and specifications.
• Assist senior personnel in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports.
• Make in-field corrections to CP systems with approval from supervisors.
• Make recommendations for system modifications as required.
• Ultrasonic scanning and flaw detection experience.
• Experience on various corrosion protection coating / lining and to identify the flaws and defects associated with it.
Duties:
• Execute specific test procedures to gather CP data for evaluation
• Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data
• Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent detail
• Assemble data for preparation of final report including service recommendations
• Provide maintenance of field test equipment and ensure it is in operating condition
• UT corrosion flaw detection of plant equipment and piping
• UT corrosion thickness survey of equipment and piping
• Anti-corrosive coatings and linings Inspection and defects identification.
