Responsible for evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, preparing reports on orders, cost etc. and conducting market research with solid analytical skills to make sure on the best quality available on profitable offer.
• Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
• Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI.
• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
• Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
• Examine, review, compare prices of products and supplies to ensure quality.
• Track incoming deliveries to warehouse/branches and check quality and quantity.
• Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
• Work with team members, supervisors, and procurement manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors.
• Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs.
• Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested.
• Taking purchase requests from authorized staff and executing transactions.
• Stock on hand evaluation to ensure minimum required quantity daily.
• Calls for quotations for any items costing more than a certain amount (As per company policy) and inquire into prices from various suppliers.
• Ensures that all orders receiving dates are updated by the buyers according to the suppliers promised delivery dates.
• Ensures that all authorized or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
• Verify the 'pending orders' report on a daily basis, and all pending orders are checked and verified regularly.
• Maintain discretion and maturity in handling sensitive or confidential data.
• Working closely with different departments and stake holders.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
