Accepting deliveredpackages and unpacking items from boxesEnsuring that the proper number or amount of items is ineach package Unloading merchandise andstocking shelves with items Marking items withindividual ID codes (prices, stock numbers, barcodes, inventorycontrol codes, etc.) Completing mail, phone,and internet orders and ensuring that customers receive theirorders Keeping records of sales and computingmerchandise prices, also replacing missing and damagedproducts Getting merchandise ready forshipping and replenishing store inventory, also determining theorigin of inventory issues Organizingadvertising campaigns inside the store and helping customers withmerchandise questions Attracting customers todifferent aisles and assisting customers to fill ordersSorting products and placing excess products in storagerooms Making sure that no expired or damageditems are on the shelf Reporting damages tocarts, shelves, baskets, and other store propertyCollaborating with suppliers, shippers, andvendors Performing routine warehouse and shelfmaintenance checks Carrying out the occasionalrepairs, also dusting and cleaning shelves
