Assists Mechanical Fitters in carrying out preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment, facilities, tools and instruments whether the plant is on operation or shutdown. Prepares spares and off-line repair of machines, equipment and components. Supports maintenance objectives of optimum equipment reliability, availability and safety at minimum cost through excellent workmanship, reduction of delays and efficient use of spare. Supports Production goals to meet tonnage targets & produce excellent quality re-bars
Supports implementation of predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Perform duties assignment to Centralize Maintenance Group in any plant of Kuwait Steel
Works together with Mechanical Fitter, Welder, Utility Specialist and other trades in the repair of damaged or defective equipment assemblies and sub-assemblies in the whole plant
Helps Mechanical Fitter troubleshoots mill equipment failures and abnormalities
Helps maintain operation of overhead cranes, Water Treatment Plant and auxiliary facilities like Air Blowers and Atlas Copco Air Compressors
Works with the Fitter in the alignment of machines and motors using SKF laser alignment tool
Perform maintenance activities during roughing change, size change and mill breakdown when needed
Helps in attending breakdowns and minimizing delays and un-planned shutdowns and conducts delay analysis
