JOB SUMMARY:
Assists nursing team in performing assigned nursing procedures to provide safe, quality patient care
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs basic nursing care duties in keeping with knowledge, and skills ability that are according to hospital policies.
- Help patients with their personal hygiene and with eating, repositioning bedridden patients, and taking a patient's vital signs
- Maintains good reliable documentation of nursing observations and actions, under constant supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Reports any incident or unsafe practice to the charge nurse and intervenes immediately if safety is compromised.
- Assist nursing team with nursing assessments, care plan development and carries out nursing interventions for assigned patients according to the care plan.
- Assist with patient education and health promotion.
- Initiates emergency procedures (safety, fire, disaster, cardiac arrest, etc.) as appropriate.
- Utilizes standard equipment as appropriate to clinical area.
- Participates in activities involving quality assurance, risk management and infection Control workers
