Key Accountabilities:
Supervises the development, implementation and maintenance of quality control systems and activities to ensure the full implementation of the applied quality systems policies and procedures within the food manufacturing operations , supervising and controlling products quality, processes and facilities to conform to quality standards & HACCP system applied in the company.
Key Tasks
• Supervise daily manufacturing operations to ensure the quality of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods through timely analytical evaluations.
• Conduct daily product evaluations on finished goods from the previous day.
• Performs a wide variety of inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures for the manufacturing process according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Performs in-process inspection and documents results.
• Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation.
• Provides guidance to employees and supervises the work group.
• Completing required reports and documentation Writing inspection procedures and checklists as necessary.
• Responsible for regulatory inspections and findings including all follow-up.
• Provide technical support to production and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Assist production management in researching information for customer complaints.
• Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting.
• Conduct plant audits with regard to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Responsible to ensure that HACCP, Quality Assurance programs are maintained.
• Provide leadership and training development to the Quality Control (QC) technician team
• Maintains and updates the document control and tracking databases
• Assist the technical manager to train and manage technical departmental staff as and when required.
• Assist with monitor and review the training records for all employees. Review the current cleaning schedules and specifications. Make amendments as and when required. Carrying out any training required as and when identified.
• Monitor inbound materials, in process, and finished product specification: recommend changes where appropriate
• Understand manufacturing risks with relation to Food Safety issues.
• Ensure the Companies Policies and statements are applied continuously and that the company’s statements and policies are continually reviewed and amended to avoid breach of any local or statutory legislation.
• Complete and submit brief all required reports to your line manager
• Ensure keep all records and the documentation of technical issues
• Make recommendations for improvements to the current operation from the technical aspect and with a view to improved efficiencies
• Attend to your duties at times specified by your line manager or dictated by work levels
