- The Maintenance in charge is responsible for the maintenance of the machinery, equipment, and facility of the plant, including preventive maintenance and provision of adequate spare parts supply.
- • Manages all maintenance and repair activities in the plant and company owned branches.
- • Makes sure all the equipment and machinery are well maintained and lubricated.
- • Reacts quickly and efficiently to any breakdown in order not to cause any shortage in the production department.
- • Is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all the power generators, freezers, and the water treatment plant.
- • Maintains employee coverage at all shifts (24/7)
- • Makes sure all equipment and facility are hygienically sound and hazard free.
- • Abides by Company and food industry standards.
- • Is responsible for pest control in the facility.
- • Provides assistance to company owned branches in order to help solve any occurring maintenance problem (electrical, mechanical, etc...).
- • Prepares/reviews maintenance contracts with different suppliers, sub-contractors or specialized companies.
- • Coordinates and liaises with maintenance contractors.
- • Maintains detailed records of maintenance contracts to ensure their timely renewal.
- • Receives and reviews lease contracts and maintains respective detailed records to ensure their timely renewal.
- • Performs on site supervision of rehabilitation works, or other significant maintenance works, in the head office and company owned branches.
- • Prepares maintenance and repairs reports, statistics and expenses

- • Maintains the inventory of tools and material needed for immediate maintenance cases.
- • Maintains proper documentation and filing of all maintenance work conducted on facility equipment.
- • Carries out routine preventive maintenance and minor repair works.
- • Supervises staff to ensure maintenance programs are carried out effectively.
- • Develops maintenance strategies, policies and procedures effectively.
- • Assists in the preparation of the maintenance department’s yearly plan and budget.
- • Monitors and reports the performance of direct subordinates and recommends appropriate training for them.
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
