- Ensure that all repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment and instruments are delivered on time and ensure operational safety of these equipment.
- Analyze equipment failure & faults, evaluate & corrects malfunction and liaise with vendors for all cases that require their immediate support.
- Conduct research to solve clinical problems using a variety of means to collate the necessary information, including questionnaires and/or interviews with the concerned parties.
- Set-up tests procedures to measures the performance of new medical equipment and report the results to the Biomedical Manager.
- Conduct tests, ensure compliance to codes & standards, follow manufacturer’s instructions and ensure that trouble-shooting and equipment sterilization are executed on time.
- Conduct safety testing of equipment including, but not limited to electrical leakage current analyzer, defibrillator analyzer; report safety related issues to concerned parties (healthcare staff, technicians, the biomedical manager & supervisor) and utilize various measurement techniques to obtain optimum operational efficiency of the medical devices.
