The Video Director is the creative force behind the making of a video or photograph. He/she will be working with the Creative Lead to produce creative, original videos for all sorts of different purposes.
Ultimately, you should be able to make creative decisions that guide the rest of the team and enhance, refine, and translate original ideas into finished productions.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-production
- Develop scripts and storyboards
Prepare carefully calculated shooting plan (time/duration, actors, props, equipment, location)
Liaise with actors and Creative Team on technical requirements
During Production
- Ensure sound, light, actors, and execution is in line with creative vision and plan
Direct actors and team on how scenes are executed best
Post-production
- Work with team to ensure that editing and the final product is in line with the vision
Coordinate with Social Media Lead and Marketing Manager on business needs, and posting plan for finalized videos and photographs
