- Responsible for good customer service and quality products.
- Monitors if the bakery meets health department compliance’s.
- Trains the sales staff and dishwashers.
- Takes charge of complaints and refunds incurred in the business
- In-charge of the cash register and all matters of security
- Procures materials needed for baking or making products
- Maybe in charge of decorating, pastry’s, baking, donut making and so on.
- Produce good and healthy baked foods at all times.
- Ensure food safety at all times while in the process of baking.
- Ensure completeness of ingredients in baking process.
- Proper training of its team for better services to be done at all time
- Measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or icings, using scales or graduated containers.
- Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking.
- Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary.
- Check the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
- Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
- Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods, using spatulas or brushes.
- Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines, or steam kettles so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
- Order or receive supplies or equipment.
- Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bake in production ovens or on grills.
- Prepare or maintain inventory or production records.
- Adapt the quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be baked.
- Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products.
- Observe color of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, or conveyor speeds accordingly.
- Decorate baked goods, such as cakes or pastries.
- Direct or coordinate bakery deliveries.
- Operate slicing or wrapping machines.
- Develop new recipes for baked goods.
