Role Purpose Summary:
Handle and administer claims across all LOB from the start through to settlement. Follow standard operating procedures and highlight / escalate any concerns or potential fraud.
Essential experience - FGA & Marine & Life background
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Respond to contact received from customers, third parties, Insurers and Brokers (this could be in writing, via telephone or in person) providing advice on making a claim and the processes involved
• Ensure the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company guidelines
• Process new insurance claims notifications, collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim
• Follow SOP’s to effectively handle claims paperwork, analyzing claims made by a policymaker, monitoring the progress of a claim
• Control and co-ordinate the claims files
• Deal with Third Party claims, establish liability, recommend appointment of Assessors where necessary, obtain Police Reports and other necessary documentation
• Process payments through Accounts Payable Department ensuring fair settlement of a valid claim
• Handle any complaints associated with a claim
• Other duties as reasonably assigned by the company
