Building a studio team, conduct training and quality control on a daily basis.
Creating A-to-Z process flows from inventory logistics, to talent and model bookings, weekly schedules coordination, marketing feedback loops, shoots, retouching and final output.
Coordinating with other teams in marketing, talent agencies, equipment suppliers, finance and invoicing, and editorial teams.
Developing brand imagery guidelines, styling, selection processes, output uploads and quality checks.
Well experienced in using social media like Snapchat and Instagram.
Dealing with model agencies, outsourcing photographers and videographers when needed.
This role supports Armada’s in-house photography development. The person must be experienced in managing studio photography including but not limited to on-model, laydown or product. They own the in-studio photography process – from calendar/organization, booking of all talent, routing, processing and retouching of photography. This is a collaborative, inter-departmental role, requiring strong interpersonal skills, keen attention to details at all levels and a passion for the creative process and collaboration. This role also requires strong initiative and a proactive mindset coupled with the ability to ebb and flow as the workflow changes.
The Studio Manager should be comfortable in giving direction as well as recognizing when direction needs to be altered.
Manages the monthly studio calendar, and communication to the teams on all photo shoots.
Manages the studio, and facilitates recommendations from key stakeholders pertaining to the day-to-day and functionality of the studio both short and long-term.
Responsible for opening and locking up studio for each shoot, as well as its organization before and after each shoot.
Manages equipment inventory, and arranges for purchases or repairs.
Maintains multiple budgets included but not limited to technical equipment, studio materials, and each shoots costs.
Arranges for props and backdrops to be made and purchased as needed.
Sets up “Go See’s” for talent, builds a data base of talent and recommends new vendors, suppliers and talent to the photography group.
Manages communication with the facilities group to insure that the studio has the required materials necessary to run, makes recommendations on improvements to the overall studio structure.
Works with key stakeholders to continuously review sample management system looking for opportunities to improve processes.
Ecommerce & B2B Photoshoot Production;
Organizes and manages upcoming studio e-commerce and B2B photo shoots.
On request, can work with Content Producer or asset requestor to arrange talent and production teams as needed.
Manages analytics, reporting structure, and costing data. Shares out with leadership team along with recommendations for increased efficiencies.
Provides seasonal (every 6 month) cost analysis year over year recap to internal partners.
Is proactive in reviewing content and shot lists throughout the development of shoot planning and adjusts as needed. Reviews the shot lists provided by the project owners, and understands the workflow required to get all the shots completed within the timing.
Studio Manager receives back from Retoucher and gathers final feedback or approvals from the higher management and routes through final delivery.
