• Manages all aspects of maintenance and facility management across Kuwait assets
• Manages the local maintenance team in addition to all contractors servicing the assets
• Responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance
• Develops and continuously improves policies and procedures to maximize performance
• Develops the annual maintenance strategy for each asset, including budgeting
• Conducts contract negotiations, oversee bidding process and ensure timely and satisfactory delivery of contractor services
• Identifies and implements capital and equipment plans to maintain environment of care and support modernization/renovation of project areas, utilizing facilities staff to minimize cost
• Ensure effective project management and interdepartmental/interagency collaboration
• Have appropriate back up and contingency planning for unexpected infrastructure and/or equipment failure;
• Ensure existing systems are in good working order while maintaining compliance with standards
• Communicate internally and externally with all individuals affecting project
• Performs the Financial Management activities pertaining to the preparation of the annual departmental budgets for staff, operating, and capital expenditures
• Develops cost control programs for the departments
• Reviews specifications for all equipment and construction for the project
• Provides technical information and consultation to other departments, consult with vendors on design, purchase and installation of new equipment
• Observes and enforces safety regulations and practices
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed
