- Import & Export air, sea, road freight & courier shipments.
- Basic knowledge of Kuwait customs regulations and requirements.
- Coordinating and arrange with suppliers and Brand managers for import/export of all shipments.
- Negotiating with freight agents and nominating agents to handle import/export shipments.
- Working out cost effective shipping modes by comparing freight cost for shipping by air or sea based on the weight and volumes of shipments.
- Following up with agents for status ETD/ETA of shipments and getting import customs clearing documents from supplier.
- Arranging for insurance survey in case of open/damaged/short received cargo, sending notice to agents/carriers for intent to claim for such damaged shipments.
- Coordinating the customs clearance approval from various government agencies and arranging the transport and deliveries to the w/houses.
- Checking and getting freight invoices vendors/freight forwarders/suppliers/customs & transport companies invoices.
- Preparing all freight costing and sending to accounts.
- Regularly updating brand managers/Warehouse with list of all expected and on the pipe line shipment status and on the documentation requirements.
