Job Purpose :
Functions as a liaison between the business and the technical team in gathering requirements for the implementation of new systems, modifications, enhancements, or transitions; assists business clients with application support issues and concerns; and identifies and tracks progress.
Responsibilities :
Business Analysis
- Provide project level analysis and produce project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and User Acceptance Testing plan)
- Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements
- Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive), ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction
- Assess business process and system inefficiencies
- Develop and execute test plans, and provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
- Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level
- Develop process improvements or re-engineer and recommend solutions
Project Management
- Develop, execute and improve action plans
- Manage customer relationships and expectations and keep stakeholders up-to-date on project results; partner with stakeholders to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
- Stay current with customer needs and strategies
- Lead or participate in multiple projects by managing project scope, ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, and following proper escalation paths
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements
- Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
Reporting
- Communicate updates and findings, and facilitate project meetings and presentations to diverse audiences
- Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, project summaries and updates
- Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, and coordinating actions
- Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
Qualification :
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of strong experience in Business Analysis with IT background or in IT Domain
- CBAP or similar Business Analysis Certification
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
Skills :
- Strong project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Data analysis - must have proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Must have a good understanding of indices, fundamentals and analytical data, returns level data, etc
- Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
- Ability to understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
