Role Purpose Summary:
Act as intermediaries between insurance companies and insurance buyers, including individuals and business. And to advise customers on the insurance policies that best suit their needs.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develops base for long-term sources of potential clients.
- Perform a presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings; speaking publicly to community groups on the subject of financial well-being.
- Interview prospective clients to get data about their financial resources and discuss existing coverage.
- Analyze clients’ current insurance policies and suggest additions or changes.
- Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients.
- Explain the features of various policies.
- Obtains underwriting approval by completing application for coverage.
- Handle policy renewals.
- Maintain electronic and paper records.
- Completes coverage by delivering policy; planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs.
- Support policy holders to liaise with claims department.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
