Job Summary/Purpose:
Manage RAC fleet maintenance and service operation to have a cost effective and efficient functioning to achieve business results and profitability as per growth objectives, within the limits of authority laid down by Senior General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Strategic:
• Effectively participate and contribute in the formulation of Rent A Car strategic plans and budgets related to RAC operations activities by identifying the long-term direction for the business in order to achieve business results.
• Identify the strategic business and market trends in terms of rental and leasing operations by monitoring customer expectation and behaviors to formulate solutions to cope up with the current market challenges.
• Participate in due diligence in order to assess explore possibilities of diversification of business as per the prevailing market requirement.
Operational:
• Plan and Direct maintenance and service operations activities, such as providing cost effective maintenance service, negotiation of prices for de-fleet, vehicle mix, retirement plan of vehicles to ensure maximum value for the de-fleet vehicles so that agreed profit and targets can be achieved.
• Plan and direct the retirement of vehicles, storage, and warehousing and disposal operations to reduce cost of stock and to get best the resale value of the vehicles.
• Review monthly financial reports related to operations, analyze variances, offer justifications for variances, recommend and implement corrective measures on the approval of SGM, RAC.
• Monitor performance of all post rental operations by reviewing KPIs for each section to maintain productivity and cost- effectiveness.
• Plan and direct after sales operations to ensure that the services rendered to customers are of the highest quality in order to achieve the target customer satisfaction index.
• Plan and direct the purchase and distribution of vehicles for Rent A Car to have the best utilization and to overcome short supply related challenges.
• Review renewal schedule migration and Insurance of vehicles and assign to the concerned authorities for necessary actions.
• Ensure the implementation of SAP effectively for the best use of Rent A Car by coordinating with all responsible internal divisions.
• Ensure compliance with the Insurance policies and procedures, pertaining to fleet vehicles as per the delivery date and recovery of Insurance premium of sold vehicles.
• Ensure Internal Audit recommendations are recognized and implemented on time in co-ordination with division Managers and Group Managers of various divisions involved.
• Report periodically on the business performance to RAC senior management, track business KPIs and budgets, review analysis of activities, costs, operations and data forecasting to determine the RAC Operation progress toward stated goals and objectives, operations cost effectiveness, reduce waste, and take corrective measures as necessary.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems is being implemented as per the policy.
People Management:
• Assign goals and objectives to staff and monitor achievement of team objectives/key performance indicators (KPIs) and counsel employees on achievement of targets and KPIs.
• Prepare performance planning (PP) and conduct performance appraisal (PA) and conduct PP/PA interviews including employee development plans and counsel employees on career progression opportunities.
• Make requisite attempts to handle all grievances raised by subordinates in a prompt and effective manner and escalate such matters to higher level when required.
• Recommend disciplinary action.
• Participate in interview panels for selection and promotion of staff
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations.
• Document and maintain records of activities and process workflows on internal communication portals.
• Adhere to Al-Sayer Group policies and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
