- Experience with Dairy and grocery section .
• The Purchasing Officer is responsible of getting the best quality / price deals for critical material supplies and services by negotiating bids and prices with local and international suppliers
• He / she follows-up with suppliers to meet quality standards and set delivery time
• Maintain smooth contacts with present suppliers, trying permanently to get decreased prices and offers.
• Establish contacts with new suppliers aiming for both quality and privileged purchasing conditions
• Ascertain supplier’s ability to meet the company’s requirements for design, quality, performance, price, delivery and obtain deferred payment terms.
• Negotiate the quotations to get the required quality and services to ensure timely deliveries at the most competitive cost with maximum company benefit.
• Compare the quotations and submit them to the Purchasing Manager for his/her final approval.
• Analyse & distribute shipping documents to ensure prompt clearance of consignment.
• Perform a follow-up on purchase orders to secure that orders are received on time in full
