Job Purpose:


Key transformation lead and business partner in charge of the finance function at business unit level, responsible for spearheading transformation function as well as overseeing all aspects of accounting functions. The position should ensure that key financial controls are operating effectively, accounts are maintained in up to date manner and assist Group Finance & Admin. Director to Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities. Finance & Transformation director should be able to work independently and meet critical deadlines under challenging circumstances. He/ She is expected to jointly work with the business unit GM towards implementing transformation initiatives set for achieving the groups long term strategic goals.


Accountabilities


Strategy, Transformation & Planning


  • Serve as the finance business partner to GM and Group Finance department to best deliver the financial support and contribute to the success of the company.

  • Spearheading transformation process with business unit GM in achieving long term strategic goals set (as agreed with Group Finance).

  • Liaise with operations team towards implementing and monitoring strategic initiatives (as agreed with Group Finance).

  • Research and report on factors influencing business performance, review and evaluate cost reduction opportunities.

  • Actively involved in building financial models for assessing multiple operational scenarios and preparing recommendations on various opportunities

Cash Flow Management


  • Review receivables, payables and inventory position whilst controlling collections, purchasing functions with their respective ageing reports. Maintain working capital at targeted levels

Financial Accounting & Reporting


  • Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.

  • Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of monthly/year end accounts.

  • Manage the external audit processes, ensuring that the relevant bodies are complied with information as required, within the agreed timetable and that staff are available for interim and final audits.

  • Identify and manage risks associated with the production of the annual report, accounts and finance operations to produce proficient results.

  • Produce as required any ad hoc reports required by Group Finance Manager/CFO and effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to them in timely manner.

  • Assess major processes, reveal risks, incorporate control and ensure implementation.

  • Built yearly budgets and rolling forecasts which are in alignment with group wide targets

Internal Control & Compliance


  • Monitor relentlessly the compliance with local and international accounting & reporting standards and understand any significant implications arising from changes in accounting rules.

  • Responsible for monitoring, compliance and adherence to company’s policies and procedures.

Supervisory Role 


  • Train finance team to appropriately assist and understand operations and finance function for effective performance

  • Manage the tasks assigned and assesses resources needed to execute the annual plan in alignment with strategy.

  • Develop and create an environment to help motivate the subordinate to optimize their performance and professional growth

  • Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
