Role purpose summary:
Coordinate implementation of the new Network Management strategy and related initiatives in close liaison with Network Management employees and other associated Motor Claims units.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• To build and maintain a database of all vehicles; by manufacturer, types, model, year of manufacture and retail value along with subsequent year resale values. (To be used, for example, as a control for Sum Insured values i.e. anti-fraud)
• Develop a series of briefs about the automotive business that will keep underwriters/customers facing staff up to date on current development such as the launch of new vehicles, performance of such vehicles, retail value and other special features of interest
• To build and maintain a database of cars parts (new and used) for all vehicles at wholesale and retail value. Develop a purchasing strategy for spare parts, and monitor the cost of parts in the market (To be used by the claims department to negotiate preferential prices and discounts with providers of spare parts i.e. drive down repair costs).
• Coordinate implementation of new IT systems such as loss estimation and adjustment tool and train claims staff in the usage of such software e.g. Audatex, which will be used primarily to confirm that the repair time and cost of repair are acceptable and within company guidelines.
• Determine future vehicles sales in Kuwait for each dealer by make, model etc. ( The Marco picture)
• Determine and maintain statistics IRO number, type, age etc., of vehicles on the roads in Kuwait and determine future trends. (The Marco Picture)
• Maintain information as provided by Actuaries iro loss ratios overall and per class and per make and model of vehicles along with average costs of repair etc., and use this information to make informed decisions about motor claims and report accordingly. (The Micro Picture)
• Keep and track a range of auto statistics including but not limited to; cost of new models and determine which vehicles are most costly effective to repair and report accordingly. (The Micro Picture)
• Prepare a set of statistics about the above data for management review and for the business intelligence/MI/ Product Development Framework process
