Job purpose :
To support the company's tire and accessory brands and champion need specific product developments (by segment) and services to drive and maintain sales and increase profitability. This role will be multi-faceted with the primary mission being to verify that all parts of the product strategy are being implemented and cost effective. Plan, direct ,control and manage the logistics department functions in terms of shipment, customs and stocking process as per ordering.
Accountabilities
- Identifying appropriate sizes based on vehicle sales trend and 7years U10
- Pre-empt market needs and prepare an order forecast for all brands on quarterly basis
- Quantify and qualify new product initiatives through market research
- Monitor SKU movement on a daily basis and propose strategies for price re-positioning on a need basis.
- Determine phase out and discontinuation of aging products based on financial and business analysis and recommend associated production/purchasing/distribution actions.
- Prepare order plan on a monthly basis well within the agreed cut-off dates maintaining the norm of stock levels not exceeding 6 months
- Liaise with OE distributors and ensure optimum stock holding of OE sizes based on vehicle sales and stock levels of each brand
- Track product life cycle of each size and phase out products that gets obsolete on a timely manner
- Ensure that we build sufficient stock avoiding loss of sales for want of stock.
- Generate reports that show competitive product actions, Company's market positioning versus key competitors, and market penetration. Create actionable recommendations
- Utilize all logistics department employees effectively to enhance their productively to achieve the work requirements in professional manners
- Control & allocate the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and distribution, sales orders delivery, and ensure of following up the operation system properly.
- Ensure of stocking all goods in accessible, safe & security manners.
- Space utilization of warehouse.
- Ensure Local Government's rules & regulation.
- Perpetual stock count
- Managing all processes and functions within a busy warehouse.
- Managing a team of up to 45- 50 employees engaging them to perform qualitatively & efficient work.
- Coordinating racking and storing.
- Maintaining high standards of materials handling.
- Responsible for the warehouse security and accountability. Ensuring stock levels are managed and controlled effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.
- Leading, motivating, training and developing staff.
- Responsible for the disciplinary & grievance procedures. Working with team leaders to review multiple brands warehouse
