- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the IT strategy and plans in order to ensure alliance with the company’s business line needs and objectives.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the respective unit by providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork and aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Ensure that the department objectives are effectively communicated across the department and a line of sight is created between individual jobholders and the departmental / sector strategy.
- Manage Infrastructure team assigned projects and tasks and ensure quality of delivery in a timely manner.
- Perform the resources management in terms of IPP & IDP definition & monitoring, leaves & trainings scheduling and work distribution & knowledge transfer planning.
- Participate in the definition of and accountable for the realization of KPIs for the Infrastructure Team.
- Define & implement systems & databases enhancements, optimization, upgrades plans, and budgets.
- Oversee, participate & approve the definition of platform guidelines, system setups, instance management, backup/restore/archive/Network policies, procedures, schemes and schedules.
- Review system access policy and audit users/systems access rights to ensure access is given as per IT/VIVA Policy.
- Oversee pre-production and production environments for all systems.
- Manage the escalation and mitigation of risks within the Infrastructure environment.
- Review, approve the documentations and ensure that it is up to date and version controlled.
- Ensure Data Center Admin works with Operations to regularly test backup and restore processes and learn from previous incidents.
- Attend managerial level meetings to understand directions and to follow-up.
