- Qualified to translate scientific information about food into practical dietary advice for those on normal and therapeutic diets. - Involved in providing accurate diagnosis and dietary treatment of disease - Advising hospital catering department about the dietary requiremetns of patients - Provide services to outpatients and inpatients - Educates patients on long term nutritional care through individual discussions, group classes and community speaking engagements. - Performs nutritional assessments as determined. Requests patient food preferences and prepares patients diets on a daily basis. - Attends health care team meetings regularly to discuss patient care needs
