• Ensure that all HSE Procedures/Policies & Plans are implemented and followed at all levels in accordance with Contractor’s & Company’s HSE Management System
• Regular communication with all key personnel of the project and company to review and follow up on safe work practices in the plant/Project area and to provide advice and assistance required.
• Conducting and participating Weekly/Monthly HSE Meetings at contractor level
• Making all employees aware of Incident Investigation & Reporting System (IIRS), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Assembly points and evaluate its effectiveness.
• Identifying Hazards not included in current list by visiting all work sites, interacting with work force, going through work procedures, Audit reports, Method Statements, Safety suggestions/improvements invited from the employees.
• Visit areas where work is being carried out and ensures that conditions stipulated in the work permit are being followed. Hold work if found unsafe and notify concerned person to rectify it.
• Prepare monthly HSE Statistics and inspection reports with identified potential hazards, recommendations, action plans and follow up on implementation
• Measurement of Safety performance by maintaining KPI scorecard and calculating man hour losses, accident frequency rate, severity rate, incidence rate etc.
• Train employees for various authorizations such as work permit executor and confined space entrant/attendant, before sending them to appear in exams conducted by KOC technical support.
• Prepare Shutdown Specific Safety Plan and communicate/demonstrate the same to work force involved in shutdown activities.
• Risk Assessment of various critical activities such as Confined space entry, Welding & Cutting, working at height, blinding De-blinding, Crane operation -testing etc.
