A leading Exchange company in kuwait is looking to hire a Senior Accountant.
Job Summary:
- Supervise, follow up and direct the accountants staff for the daily branches transactions review and technical advises as per the company’s policies and procedures
- Assist in completing the monthly close process and the preparation of support schedules for the monthly, quarterly and year end closing.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review the consolidated trial balance /and branches trial balance on a daily basis.
- Following up with accountants for collected K-net and collected cash by the branches which transferred to the banks are accurate and matching.
- Coordinate with related department in the company for any cash (excess / shortage) and report it according to the company’s procedures.
- Monitoring the aging , reconciling and settlement of the following functions and coordinate for resolving any issues with related department/branch in the company :
- Local drafts under collection (DD)
- Foreign cheques ,
- Traveler cheque (TC)
- Inward transfers settlement
- On account transaction ,adjustment ,TT/DD refund done on sundry control account ,an
- Payments or adjustments done on suspense control account.
- Maintain and review accounting transactions and ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is provided as per the company’s accounting and finance polices.
- Check and verify payment vouchers and the supporting documents for the company expenditures and acquired fixed assets.
- Review and post all journal entries prepared manually by the accountants: adjustments and settlements, accruals, prepaid, depreciation, salaries…etc
- Reconcile and ensure that accounts payable / Receivable are reconciled and settled in a timely manner, and for any required provisions, Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Monitor Company’s LG’s and deposits and post the interest profit.
- Monitor required gold stock by the branches and coordinate for delivering it to the branches.
- Review monthly reconciliation memo of banks charges, dormant transactions, W.U commissions, rebates charges and any bank transactions settlements by posting manual JVs.
- Process accounts payables for payments, which includes authorizations to pay as per the company’s polices and procedures .
- Assist in completing the monthly / annually closing process and the preparation of support schedules for monthly and annual closing :
- Fixed assets schedule and depreciation ,
- Accruals and prepaid amortization and any required adjustments /schedule .
- Review the Investment in portfolio performance and post the revaluation profit/loss.
- Assist with annual external audit, complete requested materials and preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit .
- Assist senior management with accounting program reporting and accounting financial analysis financial breakdown analysis on a daily, monthly and yearly.
- Assist with testing the accounting software for any updated version required and new products testing .
- Reports to the HR IS / Payroll Controller on all issues related to payroll
- Any duties assigned by the management.
NOTE : Candidates with Exchange company experience/background will be preferred.
