This position is responsible for all design, installation, configuration, and service for all network passive & active devices, starting from cable infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Manage all engineering projects for VoIP initiatives, plan network technology roadmaps, configuration and optimization of all aspects of VoIP systems, and related network equipment and services.
Roles:
- Full ownership of all network area (LANs & WANs) in terms of proactive operation.
- Plan, schedule, and implement network upgrades, implementations, and migrations in a timely manner, and during times that will have the minimum impact on the users of the affected networks & systems.
- Be available, on-call, to rapidly troubleshoot any problems or changes.
- Monitor networks, providing utilization, capacity and reliability reports, and make any necessary repairs utilizing available network tools before they cause network outages.
- Ensure that all implemented projects meet best practice security guidelines.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site.
- Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
