Organizational Context:
The vacant post is located in the Safety & Security Department. Such department is responsible of delivering wide range of security systems projects to end user. Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems projects are included in such systems. Target candidate will be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Delivery of the ELV projects, such as CCTV surveillance systems, access control, gate barriers, turnstiles, public address, access control, and any of the ELV Security Systems.
Sending enquiries to suppliers and comparing the products & prices to select best product & price.
Conducting site surveys and requirements gathering based on the optimal and best practices concepts.
Following up the status of different projects on sites according to the projects plans.
Troubleshooting ELV system components.
Experienced and confident in carrying out installations configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance and setting up of all ELV security systems.
Preparing Request for Proposals (RFP) for ELV security systems.
Coordinate with contractors and sub-contractors and involve in design/review/ implementation of all ELV functions and discipline required for the project.
Supervise contractors / subcontractors to carry out site works according to design intent and the suppliers for timely delivery of equipment.
Assure that the installations of ELV systems are in compliance with drawings, required specifications and standards.
Responsible for the site work implementation and documentation in order to achieve the project target completion date.
Keep records and related data of site progress in order to maintain regular/timely update to Senior Manager.
Attend site meetings regularly and liaise with others for details of works and coordination of requirements amongst various parties.
Involve in testing and commissioning of the installed systems and ensure compliance and handover.
Report to the Safety & Security department.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication skills.
Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment.
Able to work on AutoCAD drawings.
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
Be self-motivated.
Ability to work under pressure.
Good utilization of MS project.
Education:
Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or relevant discipline. Must have at least 3 years relevant work experience in ELV security systems.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English, Arabic language would be an advantage.
