Purpose & Scope : Conducts internal audit functions to determine effectiveness of the Bank’s controls and accuracy of accounting data, financial records, efficiency of operations, and use of appropriate testing approaches in order to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures in addition to CBK rules and regulation.
Key Skills :
- Reviews the Bank departments’ practices, operational functions, and financial records to ensure compliance with established internal policies and procedures and in accordance with CBK rules and regulations
- Performs audit procedures assigned in accordance with the prescribed audit programs, including documenting client processes and procedures, identifying issues, data collection and analysis of processes.
- Escalates to the supervisor any significant findings to determine and remedy risk factors in timely manner.
- Participates in following up with concerned departments to establish action plans expected to remedy the audit finding to ensure the effective implementation and timely execution in an efficient manner
- Directs, guides and train assistant auditors and /or trainees to fulfill their responsibilities according to expected standards
- Documents audit work performed along with findings and associated recommendations in line with the ILA and IA manual standards. Ensure his senior is aware of the progress of audit assignments
- Drafts internal audit reports (regular and special) proficiently and in timely manner
- Assist the senior auditor/ audit manager in risk assessments and in highlighting risk areas that could be included in the audit universe.
- Participates in teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service.
- Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department.
- Perform other duties in line with scope of work and as assigned by the direct manager.
