Simulator Technician /Technology Specialist
The purpose of the Simulator Pilot /Technology Specialist position is to provide support to, and knowledge about, the technology systems used in the development, administration and delivery of training.
The role is responsible for:
• Installing, maintaining, updating, and backing up simulation and other training related software and systems.
• Installing and maintaining simulation hardware and other training related hardware.
• Working with other technical specialists, customers and simulator operators/pilots to research and provide recommendations for advancements in training IT to assist training delivery.
• Provide helpdesk support for training and product IT systems.
• To simulate the role of a pilot in the training of Air Traffic Control (ATC) trainees (training will be provided).
• To assist Customers with airspace, sector or procedure development;
• To assist and support other simulator staff in key roles;
• Provide technical support for the simulator operations;
• Provide link back into the Tech support team in NZ to resolve major issues;
• Fulfil a sim pilot role, if possible, and train other simulator pilots, as required.
• Manage the sim pilot roster and availability.
The position will commence in November and will be for evenings only 2pm to 9pm.
