Job Responsibilities and duties
Including but not limited to:
- Assist PSS Director on all matters related to procurement of materials / services relating to business requirements of the Company;
- Develop, issue and finalize RFPs / tenders in accordance with the Company’s procurement requirements;
- Carry out vendor sourcing for local, regional and international procurement activities;
- Evaluate vendor bids and determine leading potential suppliers;
- Negotiate and finalize prices with vendors / suppliers to obtain best prices and terms;
- Negotiate service level agreements with selected vendors and monitor compliance to the same;
- Coordinate effectively with other Departments and suppliers during various stages of procurement.
- Ensure timely availability of supplies and materials to meet business requirements in accordance with orders placed with suppliers;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers through effective communication, site visits and vendor collaboration in respect of Company’s procurement requirements;
- Coordinate with internal Departments and understand procurement requirements for materials / services and develop strategy for sourcing the same;
- Develop new or improved purchasing processes to maintain economy and efficiency of operations;
- Identify cost reduction opportunities (e.g. best cost vendor sourcing, opportunity buying, bulk purchases etc.);
- Ensure that procurement records are maintained as per Company norms ;and
- Carry out annual vendor performance evaluation and source new vendors.
