SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Planning & Process: Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade company network and in house servers; install and integrate new server hardware and applications; troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported to IT service desk;
2. Security & Compliance: Maintain, monitor and apply needed updates; ensure network security and connectivity; define network policies and procedures; specify system requirements and solutions; maintain daily, incremental and periodical backups and off-network storage and backup; monitory and remove viruses, spyware, and other non-authorized software research and provide recommendations on server system administration
3. Network Performance: Support and administer third-party applications; monitor network performance (availability, utilization, thorough put, latency, etc.) and test for weakness; maintain assets management system ensuring all assets are recorded and updated/removed as required; conduct daily IT checklist on individual sites to proactively prevent regular or common faults/errors.
4. End User Support: Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords; resolve problems reported by end users; replace or repair defective parts and equipment; conduct demonstrations to users to enhance system efficiency and usage; maintain employee email systems. VLE, management information system and action approved user account updates.
5. IT Purchasing: Purchase hardware and software following set procedures under guidance from procurement department; obtain hardware and software quotes on behalf of users and IT department.
