ABOUT THE JOB
To provide store layouts ready for commercial planning, compilation of the layouts, supporting expansion/ new rebuilds/ new projects. Maintaining and sharing a library of store layouts for expansion and running business, new rebuilds, in each IKEA store. Exploring new tools and solutions for efficient planning contributing to IKEA being leader in life at home and growing sustained long term profitability.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
- Working actively and regularly with the CAD tools, having expert knowledge and understanding how the tools are used in the planning process.
- Securing a network of competent users in my unit/units.
- Providing training and support to the users in my unit/units.
- Prepare all drawings for Commercial Planning for Visual Merchandisers and Interior Designers.
- Check desktops/equipment for all CAD-tools working correctly, with the right library and work together with local IT if changes are needed before and during commercial planning periods.
- Prepare all administrative requirements for commercial planning ie. Folder structures and accessibility on the drive where all drawings should be saved for a project.
- Train co-workers in all IKEA related CAD-tools.
- Provide usage and process support during planning: explain how to do certain actions within the tools and monitor process steps and give advice.
- Compile drawings, to create an overview of most details per floor.
- Explore new software’s/techniques that make commercial planning more efficient while being cost conscious, making layouts & elevations more visually accessible to many functions, pre evaluate floor plans/ dimensions while always consider the return on future investment.
