Role Objective :
The Head of Operations establishes, positions, and develops the restaurant brand concept, the Operations Training's and Facilities Management, ensuring that the brand achieves its annual sales targets while maintaining best practices with strong focus on quality and service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop and monitor the functions of the Outlet Operations, Facilities Management and Training Department.
- Prepare budgets, streamline operations to reduce overheads, and enhance revenue and profit margins.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to address non-conformity / shortfalls in expenditure.
- Steer sales and operations teams to achieve projected targets. Ensure all targets are harmonious with organizational objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and opportunities for expansion.
- Audit standards of service, maintenance and infrastructure to ensure conformity to standards requisites.
- Implement best practices.
- Ensure that all job descriptions, internal policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
- Improve quality standards and ensure compliance / observance of health & safety in working practices.
- Develop strategies and prepare Standard Operating Procedures to ensure smooth functioning of processes.
- Develop and maintain an effective operational structure that addresses operational requirements.
- Implement new technologies and methodologies that will have a positive impact on the organization's bottom-line and quality of service.
- Develop new standardized menus consistent with the vision and strategic plan of the brand.
- Lead new product development and launches.
- Liaise with corporate marketing department for the development of marketing materials and collateral related to the launches of new product and new restaurant outlet.
- Assist in direct market research, competitor analysis, and retention monitoring processes / initiatives.
- Tailor strategies to increase client base and achieve market leadership.
- Liaise with the call center and CRM to handle delivery orders, telemarketing and customer service etc.
Budgeting and Planning
- Develops the department’s operating budget and monitors expenditures.
- Ensures the department’s goals are achieved without having to exceed the planned budget.
- Report monthly expenses to the finance department with details of Outlet Operations expenditure and ensure that the expenditures comply with the approved annual budget.
Recruitment and Performance Management
- Monitors and performs annual performance review for Outlet Operation, Training and Facilities Management staff and conducts a performance evaluation report on a periodic basis or as and when required.
- Approves and sets performance goals and targets the department.
- Identifies the training needs of the department.
