Job Description
The Central Kitchen Director is responsible for managing the overall performance of the Central Kitchen. He/She is expected to maintain an oversight on the different departments. He/She monitors overall production output levels while ensuring that quality levels are maintained. He/She investigates variances in production and manages non-compliant cases where necessary. He/She is also expected to play a role in the setting up of new food production standards and SOPs. He/She provides high level inputs on R&D activities. He/She needs to operate in a set-up similar to a food production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a business plan.
- Develop and establish financial budget and plans.
- Develop and maintain business continuity strategies, policies and guidelines.
- Develop managers and high potential employees through organizational talent capability review.
- Develop risk management framework, policy and process.
- Establish and maintain strategic business partner relationships.
- Establish business strategies.
- Establish operational plans.
- Facilitate innovation and lead managers to manage change.
- Formulate new food production standards and standard operating procedures.
- Investigate large variances in production.
- Lead managers to develop organisational strategies.
- Manage central production operations.
- Manage compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures.
- Manage high volume food production operations.
- Manage non-compliant quality cases.
- Monitor overall production output levels.
- Oversee cost controlling and food purchasing activity.
- Provide high level input on research and development activities.
- Provide leadership during crisis situations.
