- Effectively manages and administrate Contracts to meet project parameter cycle.
- Coordinates with other department to discuss and finalize all relevant commercial and contractual issues
- Conducts regular commercial meetings with consultants for each project to discuss various commercial and contractual issues that arises.
- Maintains contract registers and ensures that all relevant trade licence, insurances, bonds, etc are in place and valid throughout the contract duration.
- Negotiate, reconcile and settle in conjunction with the Engineer all contractual claims submitted by contractor in respect of variations, time extension, suspension and termination cost, loss of profit, interest charges, etc. and ensure proper and effective cost control.
- Maintaining awareness of different contracts and clauses to reduce contract related issues
- Conducts pre-qualification of consultant and contractor prior to tendering.
- Review, verify, and recommends contractor and consultant payment application and payment certificate.
- Coordinate with relevant departments on the tendering and awarding process and procedures for ensuring selection of qualified contractors for bidding and awarding of the work within the parameters set.
- Review and finalize tender documents and tender addendums, respond to tender queries and clarification in conjunction with relevant department.Administrate and manage procurement process for contractors and consultant inclusive of tender evaluation, negotiation and contract awarding.
- Review and finalize contract documents for contractors in conjunction with the Engineer as well as consultancy agreement and project management agreement.Review and evaluate changes (including variations, new rate, PC rate, provisional sums, claims and extension of time) and advise on commercial and contractual impact on the project.
- Monitors and ensures consultant’s timely submission and compliance of the deliverables as per the consultancy agreement.
- Coordinate with consultant and relevant department to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Prepare letters, respond to correspondences with contractual and commercial impact ensuring that the Client rights and interest are protected.
- Provide all contractual and commercial support to all Engineering Management functions during project cycle in order to minimize the cost and achieving the required standards and quality.
