The Parts Salesman is responsible for the counter sales to retail customers for the automotive parts division.
Key Accountabilities:
- Follow policies and procedures involving invoicing of cash and credit sales
- Handle counter parts quotations Maintain inventory records of sales and microfiche records of parts
- Search for part number in electronic catalogue with the use of VIN for accuracy
- Open WIP in Kerridge and agree on price, print picking slip Contact the customer to notify the arrival of parts specially ordered or parts customer was interested in before and where not available at a time
- Provide maximum technical support to increase customer knowledge in benefits of using genuine parts on his vehicle
- Provide assistance to customers on the sales floor, answer questions, locate automotive products, and may even be responsible for stocking shelves, taking inventory, and handling returns
- Familiar with automotive products so as to accurately answer questions and satisfy customers’ demands
