Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Management of all farm activities including farm planning, nursery management, farm production, packaging, as well as participation in marketing activities.
Provide expertise on organic farming practices, including soil and water management, approved pest control, and organic standards and certifications. Define technical aspects of organic farming at an operational level, including development of Crop and Harvest manuals for farm operations.
Provide technical guidance to team members and ensure compliance with organic farming standards.
Develop necessary reporting procedures and forms, and ensure compliance.
Oversight of farm maintenance requirements and activities.
Implement HR policies and procedures for people management aspects.
Other Anticipated Roles:
Plan, Develop and set up organic fertilizer production facility including obtaining necessary approvals. Market these fertilizers to local farmers.
Establish organic farming supply center stocked with necessary organic inputs and market these inputs to local farmers, including pest control, fertilizers, seeds, etc.
Provide training, guidance, and technical advisory services to customers in organic farming practices.
Candidates also having experience with organic livestock production will reviewed favorably.
